STRESS INFLUENCE ON A SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETER’S ACTIVITY

Abstract. The article is devoted to stress influence on the process of simultaneous interpreting. It reveals the main parameters of the author’s psycholinguistic study, the objective of which is to establish the degree of change of a simultaneous interpreter’s linguistic consciousness due to increased stress load. In the paper, the author gives the results of the experiment, makes conclusions and supposes that in the process of simultaneous interpreting there is a change in the state of an individual’s linguistic consciousness. This fact should be taken into account when training future specialists in the field of simultaneous interpreting, as well as by practicing interpreters while carrying out their professional duties.
