ON THE ISSUE OF STUDYING THE HISTORY OF CREATION OF THE NOVEL "THE SPIRIT OF THE EARTH" BY P. LAMUTSKII

Abstract. The article deals with studying the history of creation of the first Even novel " Сир иччитэ " ("The Spirit of the Earth") by Platon Afanas’evich Stepanov-Lamutskii (1920-1986). In this connection the main attention is paid to P. Lamutskii’s letters, representing the progress of the work on the novel "The Spirit of the Earth" and to writers’ memories; the significance of these materials in the study of the history of work text creation is determined; the main directions of further research in the aspect of text studies and publishing practice are revealed.
