Abstract. In the article on the basis of the French phraseology the expression of non-verbal communication, manifested in head movements, facial expressions and oculistics, is considered. The work reveals and systematizes the semantic meanings of the French phraseological units, which express non-verbal communication and the psychoemotional and physiological reactions of the subject accompanying it. The analysis of the semantic meaning of phraseological units enabled to differentiate the level of communicative activity of the subject.
