THE PREPARATION FOR THE STATE FINAL CERTIFICATION IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: ON TEST COMPETENCE

Abstract. The article deals with the issue of the quality of language education in the context of the realization of the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for general education, reveals the problems associated with the preparation of students for the state final certification in a foreign language, and proposes the ways to solve them. In the work the problems of the educational process related to the preparation for the standardized control in a foreign language are analyzed. The author identifies the essence of students’ test competence, and the significance of its formation.
