Abstract. The article examines lexical-semantic element of F. Lopatinsky’s ceremonial speech "The Message of Holy Peace" (1722) in the cultural and historical context of Peter the Great’s epoch which established new semiotic borders in the Russian literary space. At the turning point of historical time at the beginning of the XVIII century the discrepancy of Western and domestic cultural spaces in the process of total "Europeanization" resulted in the replacement or concealment of national symbolic meanings of spiritual Logos in the structure of a new political doctrine. The study was conducted using linguo-culturological and hermeneutic methods. To achieve ideological coherence of the analyzed fragment the researcher introduces the essential biographical and historical information on F. Lopatinsky’s life.
