THE MONGOLIAN SYSTEM OF KINSHIP TERMS: "SEVEN GENERATIONS OF THE FATHER"

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the Mongolian system of kinship terms, and the identification of seven generations of the father in it. This concept is a universal category that integrates at the high level of intergenerational connection many features of intergroup and interpersonal relations, and builds in the hierarchical sequence the nomenclature of kinship in seven ascending and descending patrilineal and patricollateral generations.
