MYTH AS LINGUISTIC-CULTURAL PHENOMENON (BY THE MATERIAL OF RUSSIAN WOMEN’S PROSE)

Abstract. The article considers the key aspects of mythologization in contemporary Russian women’s prose from the point of view of linguistic and cultural issues. The basic relationship between language and culture within linguistic and cultural studies is demonstrated. The views of researchers on the phenomenon of myth in modern science are presented. The author gives the analysis of works of the Russian writers L. Ulitskaya, L. Petrushevskaya and T. Tolstaya. The relevance of this work is to compare the linguistic concept of "myth" with its realization by the material of specific works of Russian women’s prose in the linguocultural aspect.
