Abstract. The article examines "post-truth" concept which became widely used in the English language in 2016. The author analyzes etymological origin of the word-representant, describes some modern political realia which contribute to popularization of this concept in media-discourse, and provides examples of collocations with "post-truth" in the certain contexts. Studying "post-truth" concept is relevant from the viewpoint of cognitive linguistics since it shows how mental processes and extra-linguistic factors within the certain period influence language development generating completely new linguistic concepts.
