LANGUAGE ANDROCENTRISM IN AUTHENTIC EDUCATIONAL TEXTS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 80S OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract. In the article by the material of authentic educational texts presented in the textbook in the English language at the beginning of the 80s of the XX century the language methods of constructing the gender are analyzed. On the basis of A. Pauwels’s methodology, the indicators of androcentrism manifestation are revealed. In the course of the research it is ascertained that all the above indicators of gender asymmetry are fully represented in the authentic educational texts. The patriarchal worldview is formed with the help of the identified means of the English language.
