METAPHORIZATION OF ABNORMAL FAMILY RELATIONS IN THE MODERN ENGLISH CHILDREN’S POETRY

Abstract. The article examines modern English children’s and teenagers’ poems describing abnormal family relations. The author analyzes the manifestation of these relations in the texts through metaphor which is considered in cognitive aspect - as a didactic device when the young readers get life lessons decoding metaphors in the reading process. The researcher concludes that the most frequent metaphorization techniques in such texts are absurdization and grotesque.
