THE ROLE OF ARGUMENTATIVE WORDS EVEN - ДАЖЕ IN THE TACTICS OF PERSUASION

Abstract. The study is based on the theory of language argumentation by Oswald Ducrot, who believes that the argumentative words due to their pragmatic nature are able to change the argumentative force of the utterance. The paper defines the components of the argument, with the help of which the recipient is persuaded: thesis and argument. The author reveals the main role of the use of argumentative words in the tactics of persuasion. The examples from fiction of the English and Russian writers serve as the factual material for the research.
