STRATAGEMIC AND TACTICAL COMPONENT OF POLITICAL LEADER’S IMAGE (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE UNITED KINGDOM PRIMEMINISTER D. CAMERON’S SPEECHES)

Abstract. The article examines strategemic and tactical component of political leader’s image which involves the use of linguistic means aimed to influence target audiences. The author concludes that political speeches are focused on synergetic effect of the applied linguistic means; one and the same addressee is addressed using the cluster of discursive strategies appealing to specific value orientations of a target audience.
