Abstract. The study of professional discourse is impossible without the consideration of the text material. In this article a special text is understood as a result of professional communication, representing its multi-dimensionality, and also emphasizing the intricacies of a particular area of science and technology. As a result of analysis of the text material the authors have managed to derive the parameters of the special text, the linguistic requirements of its model, and to formulate the notion of a special text model itself.
