FORMATION OF THE MAIN CHARACTER’S CONSCIOUSNESS IN LEO TOLSTOY’S STORY "CHILDHOOD"

Abstract. The article is devoted to Leo Tolstoy’s story "Childhood". An attempt is made to apply the phenomenological aspect to the analysis of the presented story. The paper deals with the formation of the main character’s consciousness and personality, his childhood recollections, experiences, reasoning about his life, awareness of himself, his character and other aspects of his childhood. Special attention is paid to the identified aspects of phenomenological prose on the basis of which the study in this article is conducted.
