CATEGORY THEORY IN DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN SCIENCE: CLASSICAL APPROACH

Abstract. The article is devoted to the theoretical consideration of the classical approach in the formation of the theory of categorization, which is understood as the key component in the process of cognition of reality and the way in which human knowledge about the world is constructed. The main task is to study the methodological principles of the classical approach, represented in the works of domestic and foreign linguists. As a result of the research, the main principles of the classical approach of the theory of categorization are described, and the characteristic of the main stages of its formation is presented.
