FUNCTIONING OF THE CONCEPTS "LIFE" AND "DEATH" IN N. LUGINOV’S PROSE (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE STORIES "KUSTUK" AND "BLACK RAVEN BALLAD")

Abstract. The article analyzes the functioning of the universal concepts LIFE and DEATH in the early prose of the Yakut national writer of the Republic of Sakha N. A. Luginov with a view to identify traditional conceptions typical for the Yakut linguistic worldview. The authors provide linguo-culturological analysis of the concepts LIFE and DEATH and emphasize that linguo-culturological interpretation of objective and subjective meanings of the mentioned universal concepts promotes deeper understanding of the Yakut linguistic worldview.
