STRATEGIES AND TACTICS OF POLITICAL DISCOURSE (BASED ON PUBLIC SPEECHES BY P. IGLESIAS)

Abstract. The purpose of this article is to consider the implementation of strategies and tactics in the contemporary Spanish political discourse. The examples from the case studies are given. The author highlights the strategies implemented by P. Iglesias, the leader of the opposition party "Podemos". According to the analysis the paper presents the characteristic of the most frequent speech strategies. The research prospects are in the discourse analysis of other opposition parties.
