LEXICAL FRAME AS THE TYPE OF LEXICAL CONCEPT (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE FRAME "ARMED CONFLICT")

Abstract. The article considers one of the most important issues of cognitive linguistics, namely, the interrelation of such cognitive structures as the concept and the frame. The description of the basic notions of cognitive linguistics is presented, the existing points of view on the interpretation of the term "concept" are considered. In modern linguistics frames are a way of modeling and analyzing concepts, which defines the frame as a unit of knowledge. In this paper the authors analyze the lexical frame "armed conflict", which can be represented as a network consisting of nodes and connections between them, where each node carries its own "information" that represents certain characteristic features of the corresponding situation.
