COMPONENTIAL ANALYSIS OF THE ARGUMENTS OF THE VERB HAVE

Abstract. In the article on the basis of the definitional analysis the integral semes of the arguments of the English verb "have" are identified: ± abstract and ± human. A formula is proposed for determining the number of configuration variants of statements depending on the distribution of the semes in the arguments. It is stated that the specificity of the categories of alienable and inalienable belonging is described by the models X (+ h, -a) has Y (-h, -a) and X (+ h, -a) has Y (-h, + a). The methodology of componential analysis application is considered.
