ON TRANSLATING CHARLES PERRAULT’S TALES INTO THE TATAR LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines the problems concerning the reception of the French classicist writer of the XVIII century Charles Perrault (1628-1703). The author justifies the importance of introducing Tatar translations of West-European classics in the light of the modern requirements in the sphere of pre-school education imposed by the Federal Educational Standard of the Russian Federation. The paper argues that adapted for pre-school age Tatar translations of Charles Perrault’s works promote the formation of tolerant attitude to the basics of the French culture.
