THE ROLE OF EMOTIONAL COMPETENCE IN TEACHING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE IN NON-LINGUISTIC INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract. The article discusses the notion of emotional competence. Its role in teaching a foreign language in non-linguistic institution of higher education is determined. The author emphasizes the connection between emotional intelligence and emotional competence. The examples of exercises for the formation of the components of emotional competence among students are given. The paper focuses on the fact that the high level of development of emotional competence among students has a positive effect on the efficiency of the learning process.
