THE DIAGNOSIS AND ASSESSMENT OF THE QUALITY OF STUDENTS’ EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS IN A PEDAGOGICAL HIGHER EDUCATION ESTABLISHMENT

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of studying the efficiency of diagnosing the quality of students’ educational achievements in a pedagogical higher education establishment with account of the requirements of modern Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education. The authors analyze the advantages and disadvantages of traditional knowledge and competence-oriented methods for diagnosing students’ educational achievements, and propose the methodological recommendations for ensuring the efficiency of this process in order to improve the quality of pedagogical education.
