Abstract. The article aims to investigate and compare Tatar and Korean myths, to identify their common and peculiar features. The authors examine cosmogonic conceptions, conceptions of deities, and mythological conceptions on human relations with mythic creatures-animals. The paper focuses on the following criteria: the period of creation, scene, heroes, basic idea, moral, story-line, myths associated with the subject. Relying on the research findings the authors conclude that ancient Tatar and ancient Korean mythologies are similar in many ways and have common themes.
