MASSIVE OPEN ONLINE COURSES IN THE HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM BY THE EXAMPLE OF SAMARA STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract. The article examines MOOC (massive open online courses) phenomenon. Special attention is paid to the fact that higher schools consider MOOC a promising trend. The problem of introducing MOOC into the higher education system is still debatable, though on-line courses are perceived as a means to broaden learning possibilities. On-line courses allow introducing the elements of open education into higher education system. The paper describes the peculiarities of working with MOOEC resources.
