Abstract. The article substantiates the need for the formation of senior pupils’ intercultural communicative competence, and specifies its structure. An integrated approach is considered as the basis of intercultural education. The paper reveals the essence of the integration of the subjects "Foreign language" and "World history of the XX century", on the basis of which an elective course for the profile school can be created.
