THE CONCEPT OF PAIN IN THE RUSSIAN, ENGLISH AND FRENCH LANGUAGES

Abstract. The article investigates the concept of pain in the Russian, English and French languages. The author identifies and analyzes the semantic zones, acting as a source for the vocabulary of pain. Operation of verbs of pain is examined in written speech. The dictionaries of English and French serve as material for analysis. The author also explores the predicates and control of pain verbs and compares the methods for their formation.
