Abstract. In the context of the personality phenomenon of O. Suleimenov as a poet, politician and scientist-linguist the problem of preservation and development of the languages of small-numbered peoples is actualized in the article. It is interrelated with the problem of studying the etymology of a word - exploring the mystery of ancient words that keep the historical truth. The author analyzes the last works of O. Suleimenov where the study of a word in linguistic, philosophical and psychological aspects in the context of the Turkic linguistic worldview is emphasized. In the format of the cultures dialogue the Karachay-Balkar-Kazakh literary relations and cultural contacts are presented in the article.
