PROPERTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF VERBAL SCENERY IN THE DRAMATIC TEXT OF N. S. GUMILEV

Abstract. The article discusses the need to allocate an important element in the structure of dramatic text that allows creating a spatial feature of a literary text. The author examines verbal scenery that has special properties inherent in all types of scenery, and functions. By considering the fundamental properties (convention, authenticity, personhood, particularity, practicality, self-value) it is possible to speak about validity of introduction of verbal scenery in a number of elements that characterize the literary space. By the material of dramatic texts of N. S. Gumilev, the analysis of the properties and functions of verbal scenery is carried out.
