THE FIGURATIVENESS OF SPEECH: SPECIFICITY AND SEMANTIC MECHANISM

Abstract. The article describes the nature and semantic mechanism of figurative speech, demonstrates the techniques of its creation, and also substantiates the idea that there are no fundamental differences between "trope" and "non-trope" figurativeness, as the basis of both is formed by the literary detail, the variety of which is the trope. According to the degree of complexity of the structure and textual size, the author identifies several levels of details and images.
