SPEECH BEHAVIOUR OF COMMUNICANTS IN COOPERATIVE / NON-COOPERATIVE PRE-ELECTION POLITICAL DEBATES

Abstract. By the material of pre-election political debates the article examines the direct and indirect responses-reactions of the candidates in presidents of the United States in the process of their cooperative / non-cooperative interaction. Strategies, used by the communicants and tactics to update them are described. The authors substantiate the position that in political debates speech behaviour of communicants can be extremely unpredictable. Depending on many factors it can be focused both on collaboration and open confrontation.
