HISTORICAL LEGENDS OF THE KHAKASSES RECORDED BY N. F. KATANOV (1889-1892): GENRE-STYLISTIC SINGULARITY, TYPOLOGY

Abstract. Legends are one of the genres of folk spiritual culture of the Khakasses, its phenomenon, which the great orientalist, philologist, historian N. F. Katanov could not pass by. However, having a great cognitive significance, this genre was beyond scientific interests. In this article the author discusses the subject, poetics of the Khakass historical legends in the context of their national-historical specificity and creative typology for the first time.
