THE ROLE OF PRESUPPOSITION IN ORGANIZATION OF COMPOUND-COMPLEX SENTENCE (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE MODERN ENGLISH)

Abstract. The article analyzes the role of presupposition in the organization of compound-complex sentences. The authors examine the types of presuppositions and minimum compound-complex sentences as a field of presuppositions action. The analysis of these structures by the material of the English language shows that several kinds of presuppositions are realized in them - contact or distant, - developing in the retrospective and prospective plans. The whole complex of presuppositions performs a text-forming function.
