LINGUISTIC PERSONALITY IN THE PRESIDENTIAL DISCOURSE (BY THE EXAMPLE OF DISCOURSES OF JACQUES CHIRAC AND VLADIMIR PUTIN)

Abstract. By the example of discourses of the presidents of Russia and France of the end of the XX - the beginning of the XXI century the article demonstrates the role of the linguistic personality of the President as a direct and chief participant of the presidential discourse. The authors analyze linguistic and cognitive characteristics of linguistic personality of the President, manifested not only in his speeches and behaviour, but also in the assessment from the society, individuals and cartoonists.
