FLICKERING AND CONTEXTUAL STYLISTIC COLOURING OF POLYSEMANTIC WORDS IN THE TEXT (BY THE MATERIAL OF AMERICAN BLUES TEXTS)

Abstract. The article introduces a new notion "flickering stylistic colouring", and provides theoretical justification of a term. Applying the method of lexical-stylistic analysis the author examines the influence of contextual and flickering colouring on transition of the words from one lexical stratum of poetical language to another. The study is conducted by the material of USA blues texts. The findings testify that considering these stylistic colours influences the interpretation and encourages text decoding.
