FORMS OF THE KABARDIAN-CIRCASSIAN LANGUAGE EXISTENCE UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF DIASPORA (HISTORY, MODERNITY AND PROSPECTS)

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the forms of the Kabardian-Circassian language existence under the conditions of diaspora. The author shows that under the influence of exogenous and endogenous factors the speech of the Circassian diaspora abroad has undergone cardinal transformations during its almost sesquicentennial history. The paper identifies the modern forms of the Kabardian-Circassian language existence in diaspora and concludes that nowadays the Kabardian-Circassian language in diaspora functions as an areal language preserving the basic features of a source-language.
