LIFE PURPOSE PROBLEM IN THE IDEOLOGICAL DISPUTES BETWEEN THE PERSONAGES OF THE NOVEL BY L. N. TOLSTOY "ANNA KARENINA"

Abstract. The article examines ideological disputes between "Anna Karenina" personages in the light of conceptological continuity of "Westerners versus Slavophiles" controversy. The author analyzes the importance of "Russia and West" problem for novel’s philosophical development, and concludes on Tolstoy’s specific perception of Slavophilic ideology in "Anna Karenina" ideological structure.
