LINGUOSTYLISTIC PECULIARITIES OF THE US PRESIDENT’S WEEKLY ADDRESSES TO THE NATION

Abstract. The article presents a linguo-stylistic analysis of scripts of Weekly Addresses of the 44th President Barack Obama to the American nation. The examples demonstrate that the most frequent linguo-stylistic technique is an anaphoric repetition, used by President Obama as a means of accentualization of important information of his addresses as a way of exerting verbal influence on the American listeners through repeated lexical units.
