Abstract. The article discusses the forms of manifestation of sound interference in the Russian speech of the Azerbaijanian students. The numerous phonetic errors are subject to the influence of paradigmatic and syntagmatic laws of the Azerbaijani language. The authors believe that violations of the rules of pronunciation of vowels and consonants in the second language lead to the four types of interlingual interference.
