THE PROBLEM OF LANGUAGE-OBJECT REPRESENTATION IN SCIENTIFIC LINGUISTIC TEXTS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of representing a language as an object of scientific research. The author concludes that the means to represent language-object (descriptive and objectifying) are based on discursive practices of a scientist and an ordinary native speaker. Both of these practices are included into the linguist’s linguistic competence. The analysis indicates that the problem of language-object representation should be considered at the three levels: scientific text, scientific discourse and scientist’s linguistic personality.
