ON THE QUESTION OF CONNECTION MEANS IN COMPLEX SENTENCES WITH THE MEANING OF CONCESSIVENESS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of connectors of the parts of a complex sentence that express concessive relations. Complex sentences with adverbial clauses of concession are widely used in English. The paper considers concessive complex sentences and linking words connecting parts of the complex sentence. The sources of the research material are newspaper and magazine articles of the leading mass publications, including electronic versions of some printed editions. The English-language publications represent the British and American variants of modern English.
