Abstract. The article deals with the language specificity of Andrei Malakhov’s speech. Relying on the laws of the genre, the presenter uses different levels of a language to influence an addressee skillfully. The specificity of the talk show genre imposes certain limitations on the speech abilities of the show presenter. The analysis shows that Andrei Malakhov’s speeches are not characterized by high figurativeness, the desire to create original metaphors and epithets. Such techniques as gradation and parallelism promote clearer argumentation of his position.
