Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the orthography of private Yakut-language newspapers by the material of the newspapers "Kiin kuorat" ("The Capital") and "Tuimada" for 2017. The results of the analysis show that the newspapers fix spelling in a phonetized form of many loanwords. It can be concluded that the materials depend directly on their authors, and the editorial staff of the newspapers do not make significant corrections to the speech processing, thus providing some freedom in the spelling part.
