PECULIARITIES OF INTERFERENCE MANIFESTATION IN TEACHING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE RUSSIAN-CHECHEN BILINGUALISM

Abstract. The article considers one of the most acute problems of foreign language teaching - interference. The problem is considered by the example of the Chechen Republic, where while teaching a foreign language to bilingual children teachers encounter interference of both native and Russian languages. The work touches upon the peculiarities of the interference manifestation at phonetic, lexical, grammatical levels. It is noted that interference as a negative phenomenon can be overcome to a large extent if teaching a foreign language is based on the knowledge of its causes and is carried out using methods, techniques and means to achieve this goal. The author underlines the importance of striving to achieve the maximum possible result in teaching a foreign language at primary school, since at this stage the principles of language rules acquisition take place.
