VERBS WITH THE SEMANTIC COMPONENT "MEMORY" IN THE POETIC LANGUAGE OF ANNA AKHMATOVA

Abstract. The article considers the verbs with the semantic components "memory" and "oblivion" in the poetic language of Anna Akhmatova. The study shows that many of the verbs of this group, existing in the modern Russian language, are represented in the poetry of Akhmatova. The verbs with the meaning "to remember" prevail among them. The author of the article also notes the individual author’s use of words in which the meanings "to remember" and "to forget" are expressed metaphorically. According to the author’s observations, the verbs of memory are especially typical for the poetess’s early creative work.
