COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF ANATOMIC TERMS IN THE RUSSIAN AND POLISH LANGUAGES

Abstract. The article describes the similarities and differences of more than one hundred anatomic terms, including terms of general usage in the Russian and Polish languages. The main problems are in the fact that, despite some commonality of the lexical composition of both languages, which is determined by their origin from the common pre-Slavic language, there are significant differrences in anatomic terms. Conclusions are drawn about the existence of several groups of terms that illustrate the similarities and differences in both languages.
