THE FIRST RESEARCH CENTERS IN TATARSTAN IN THE FIRST THIRD OF THE XX CENTURY AND G. IBRAGIMOV’S ACTIVITY

Abstract. The article considers the initial stage of the formation of research centers, institutes of Russia on the Tatars’ history and culture. Particular attention is paid to the activity of the Academic Center of the People’s Commissariat of Education of the Tatarstan ASSR in the 1920s, in particular, to G. Ibragimov’s work in the scientific and scientific-organizational field. The breadth and scale of the research tasks of the Academic Center, the organization of the research process and the provision of its resources, of course, within the framework of its time - all this makes it possible to suggest that the first attempt to create Tatarstan Academy of Sciences was made in the 1920s.
