PECULIARITIES OF TEACHING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO VISUALLY-IMPAIRED ADULTS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the topical problem of increasing the availability of education for people with disabilities. Peculiarities of teaching foreign languages to adults with serious visual impairments are singled out and described: motivational factors, methods and organization of training, requirements for teachers working with this category of students, teaching materials and adapted technologies. In conclusion, recommendations are given for the development of an effective strategy, which should guide educational institutions in solving the problem of social and professional integration of disabled people into the modern society.
