Abstract. The article considers the general classification of the sound system of some Turkic languages, proposed by V. V. Radlov in his work " Phonetik der n?rdlichen T?rksprachen ". The degree of correspondence of this acoustic-articulation classification to the sound structure of the modern Kyrgyz language is compared. In addition, on the basis of the author’s phonetic conception some topical problems of phonetics of modern Kyrgyz linguistics are considered.
