THE PECULIARITIES OF NEWSPAPER DISCOURSE OF KHRUSHCHEV THAW PERIOD

Abstract. In the article the peculiarities of the formation of newspaper discourse and mass media worldview in 1953-1964 under the influence of socio-economic and political-ideological changes that occurred in the Soviet state are analyzed. Similarities and differrences in the newspaper discourse of Khrushchev thaw period and the newspaper discourse of the totalitarian era are revealed. Structural and semantic features of the newspaper discourse of the time under consideration are identified. The substantiation of the leading role of the village theme in the pages of newspapers during the indicated period is given.
