Abstract. Travel journalism is relevant and popular nowadays as never before. At the same time travel press is insufficiently covered in the research papers. In particular, the problem of its typologization is poorly investigated. The article for the first time provides a survey of the available typological models of travel magazines and justifies the reasonability to distinguish it as an autonomous type in the general typology of printed media.
